Complex and aromatic, Negrita gathers a carnival of Caribbean flavours.
Tasting Notes: The nose is that of a very light, almost neutral rum, like a cane vodka. A few slightly fruity notes emerge, however. In this case, we’re dealing with the syrup of a box of fruit to which a spoonful of brine or vinegar has been added.
The palate is round and faithful to the nose, offering very light flavours, ideal for discreet integration into a cocktail. The mid-palate sees a surprising arrival of fresh cane, with a hint of peppery bagasse.
The finish is very light, leaving only a slightly ethereal impression.
Recommended food pairings: Rum pairs well with a wide range of foods. Delicate seafood, savoury dishes, desserts, and even unexpected pairings like cheese and chocolate can create delightful flavour synergies with rum.
